The 2017 soccer season for Lithgow City Rangers is quickly approaching and now is the time for new and returning players to contact the club or attend the sign-up days for the Lithgow junior soccer competition. With all juniors catered for in all ages from U/6’s through to u16s, 2017 looks to be a great year for the club as the participation numbers continue to rise in the Lithgow soccer community. The Rangers club will be holding their muster / registration days from 4pm to 5:30pm at the Marjorie Jackson Soccer Complex on the following dates, February 27, March 2, March 6 and March 9.

All previous all age players from the Lithgow competition are encourage to contact the Rangers club as the likely hood of an all age men’s competition in the Lithgow area are looking slim at the moment as other Lithgow teams have indicated their intention of playing their football in the Bathurst district competition also. With the men’s Bathurst district competition due to start in early April, training has already commenced and any person wanting to play are invited to attend training on Sunday’s at 4pm at the home ground of Rangers Park Lidsdale. The Rangers club have a big year ahead with the official opening of their second full size playing field which has been in the making for many years due to the hard work and thousands of volunteered hours. The new playing field will be named after the great man Bruce Wright who was one of the founding members of the club when it was started back in 1970.
The Rangers club are eager to also announce the resigning of the clubs major sponsor The Wallerawang Community and Sports Club for 2017 (formally known as the Wallerawang Bowling Club). The club has long been renowned for its community oriented hospitality and willingness to help local community and sporting organisations and look forward to the future between both parties.
