Kennedy got her eye in and won the next two ends, but it was Townsend with her deadly draw shots that saw her win the next four ends to lead 15/5 on the 14th end. Kennedy started to close the gap and by the 22nd end had clawed her way back to even the score at 16 all. At a thrilling 22 all, but it was Townsend her held her nerve to get three beautiful draw shots on the jack in the next end, with Kennedy having no choice but to have a couple of on shots to save the game, but missed both by a whisker leaving a very emotional and excited Townsend to take the major prize.
