The meeting is Australia’s only all female karting event and will be held at the Combined Districts Kart Club (CDKC) at Marrangaroo.
The event has been running for ten years and in that time has raised more than $180,000 dollars for breast cancer research.
There will be around 60 female drivers competing this weekend with contestants coming from all over New South Wales and as far away as Tasmania, Victoria and Queensland.
Many of the drivers are young and still making their mark in the sport.
They will be looking to use this event to gain valuable experience as they move forward in the racing industry.
A number of the competitors have already raised a significant amount of money over the past few months.
The individual with the highest fundraising effort will be named as the 2017 Karting Princess during the fundraising dinner to be held on Saturday night.
A charity auction will also be held for the National Breast Cancer Foundation during the fundraising dinner.
The event will host races for several divisions based on age and engine performance.
These range from the Cadet 9 division, for those between the ages of nine and twelve, to seniors, for those ages sixteen and older.
“Senior classes run several engine types and some which are more powerful engine types than the juniors so there is something to suit everyone in terms of cost and performance,” said Stephen Wright, the promotions manager for the CDKC.
The winners of each division will be awarded with the Pink Plate.
All competitors will also be in the running to win a one of ten sets of tyres at the meeting as well as a range of trophies.
Lithgow mayor, Stephen Lesslie will be at the event around lunchtime on Friday to officially open the meeting.
Lithgow locals can help out by contacting the club to donate auction items or by coming out to the event on Friday from midday or all day Saturday.
Various clubs have operated from the circuit on Oakey Forest Road behind the Lithgow golf Club since the early 1960s.
The Combined Districts Kart Club have owned the track for the last 30 years.
“In 2017 the club is resurfacing the circuit after more than 25 years in constant use. This will future proof our facility for many years to come,” said Mr Wright.
