Holidays or not, the Lithgow Library will be sorely missed when it closes for refurbishments over a couple weeks starting on Saturday January 14.

But it will open better and brighter on Monday January 30 with major works completed including new carpet and colour features within the library.
The shelving floorplan will also be revisited, with changes to create inviting seating spaces and improve access to collections.
Regular activities like the Library’s children’s programs and the Lithgow Library Knitting and Crochet Circle will then recommence.
The school holiday program continues on Monday January 9 with painting at 3pm at the library. On Tuesday there will be a Mandala Workshop with Wednesday’s storytime from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.
Wallerawang Library will have a craft and games session on Thursday January 12 with another session held on January 19.
Portland Library will host a make musical instrument workshop on January 21.
