It's Christmas, not Armageddon, but shops only have to close for two days and there's a fear of imminent starvation.
But no need to panic this Christmas.
Lithgow's major supermarkets are open for business on Boxing Day with volunteer staff happy to rake in penalty rates.
So folks it's just a matter of surviving on a service station pie and the crisis is over.
And another thing
Just while we’re on the topic of Christmas, it’s probably only fair to congratulate the Lithglo team on a job well done.
A Council initiative, the Lithglo Christmas Markets saw huge crowds descend on Queen Elizabeth Park for a Christmas bargain or two.
Job well done.
Danger zone
WHEN Council returns after the Chrissie break our New Year wish is for someone in that organisation to realise that it's months since the 'new' sealing was completed on Hartley Valley Road below The Gap and still no centre lines.
It's a treacherous situation after dark or in the rain and hopefully won't take atraumatic event to correct the oversight.
