Coles Lithgow is running a fundraising appeal for Redkite where you can donate $2 to the organisation through a ‘gift’ card.
A barbecue and cake stall at Lithgow Valley plaza on Saturday raised over $750 for the charity and the supermarket would like to build on that.
Coles Lithgow service manager Leanne Smith said that donations can be made through any register in the store.
“100 per cent of the money goes to Redkite,” she said.
Ms Smith said Redkite was Coles Lithgow’s chosen charity to work with.
Redkite provides essential support to children and young people with cancer, and their families.
The support is for children and young people (24 and under) from diagnosis, throughout treatment, and after treatment ends.
It includes financial assistance to cover essential costs. Redkite also provides information, counselling and group support.
