Recognising that this affects many people, the Lithgow Parish of the Uniting Church is again offering a service in which our loved ones can be remembered in a meaningful and reverent way.
This year the service is to be held in Hoskins Memorial Uniting Church on Sunday December 4 at 9:30am.
During the service the names of those people for whom funerals have been held in the church over the last twelve months will be read out and family members or friends of the deceased will be encouraged to come forward and light a candle in their memory.
Afterwards there will be an opportunity for any person present to come forward and light a candle in memory of any loved one they have lost. The service is open to all members of the community and will be followed by morning tea in the parish centre. For more information contact the parish office from 10am to 1pm weekdays.
