Westfund Health Insurance has signed on as a sponsor for Lithgow’s local Can Assist branch to assist them in funding their Christmas fundraiser.

Westfund prides itself on recognising and supporting those in need in our communities and Christmas is always a great opportunity to provide a helping hand.

The Christmas Chocolate Wheel is a much loved local Christmas tradition, with families flocking to Cook Plaza for a bit of festive fun and the opportunity to win a prize.

This year, that fun will come with the added bonus of donating to local cancer patients to help with the associated costs of their treatment.

Lithgow’s Can Assist branch will be hosting a Christmas Chocolate Wheel fundraiser in Cook Plaza today, following their first event which was held on Thursday November 24.

These events are sponsored by Westfund.

All funds raised by the Lithgow Can Assist group are spent wholly in the local community, helping Can Assist provide direct financial assistance to people in country NSW affected by cancer.

Don’t miss the opportunity to help raise money for a fantastic cause.

There will be a barbecue and drinks available, with prizes including hams, half hams, turkeys, pick of the table prizes and children’s prizes. There will also be entertainment, and Santa Claus himself is scheduled to make an appearance.

The fun starts at 5.30pm this evening and runs through to 8pm.
