The group, part of the Recover Wellbeing program run through Catholic Care Social Services, is a weekly art group that provides a safe space for those in need of mental respites.
The program offers an opportunity for participants to forget everyday worries and become lost in the joy of creativity.
The group meets every Thursday at the Lithgow Library and has spent the year creating beautiful works of art.
They are looking forward to displaying some of their works and invite everyone to the opening on Thursday, December 1 at 11am.
Mayor Stephen Lesslie said art is a great way for people to get through the stresses of life and express their emotions.
“It is fabulous that the Library can provide a space for the Wellbeing group to meet and display their work,” Cr Lesslie said.
