Latest ABS data shows NSW real Gross State Product (GSP) grew by 3.5 per cent in 2015-16 – stronger than any state or territory.
For the rest of Australia, Gross Domestic Product growth came in at 2.4 per cent in 2015-16 meaning NSW grew more than one percentage point faster than the rest of the country.
NSW’s strong growth was supported by an outstanding lift in exports, with services exports, such as education and tourism, growing by 12.5 per cent in the last year.
Strong growth in investment spending also indicates economic momentum will continue.
Housing investment grew by 13 per cent, public investment went up by 8.4 per cent and NSW business investment increased by 1.6 per cent.
Things are looking good.

White Ribbon Day: Over 12 months, on average, one woman per week is killed by a current or former partner.
One in three women have experienced physical or sexual assault by someone known to them.
One in five women experience harassment in the workplace.
These are just some of the frightening statistics reported through White Ribbon.
This Friday we support and embrace White Ribbon Day and I call on all men in our community to make a stand to prevent violence against women.
White Ribbon challenges men of all ages to stand up, speak out and act to prevent violence against women being perpetrated by men.
The 2016- 17 Budget doubles the investment in specialist domestic violence initiatives to over $300 million over four years to support victims and hold perpetrators to account.
For information and support call the NSW Domestic Violence Line on 1800 656 463 or 1800 RESPECT on 1800 737 732
