A Portland mother and her daughter were rescued from an overturned car on Sunny Corner Road on Wednesday.
The 47-year-old mother and her 18-year-old daughter were travelling home from Bathurst around 2pm when wet weather conditions caused their car to lose control, emergency services said.
The car did not crash into a dam as previously reported but a large puddle.
The pair were trapped inside the car for some time but emergency services managed to pry a door open to free them.
The mother was not hurt and the daughter only suffered a minor abrasion to her left foot.
They were taken home to be cared for by their family and not transported to hospital.
