Lithgow Public School students and teachers received some dashing visitors when 22 postie bike riders arrived at the schoolgrounds for breakfast.

The riders were on a fundraising run from Newcastle to raise money and awareness for the Variety Childrens Charity.
The Variety Postie Bike Dash is a six day charity ride throughout NSW on Honda CT110 Postie Bikes.
The event goes off the beaten track, travelling through the bush and countryside, stopping in at rural towns and schools for meals and entertainment along the way.
The riders covered nearly 1400 kilometres on their slow going postie bikes.
The bikes are all owned by the riders. Participants received support from sponsors The Good Guys and Tamex Transport.
Lithgow Public School even got a present from the Dashers and The Good Guys of a new urn.
The riders were treated to a musical performance from the school.
From Lithgow the Dashers headed to Orange via Trunkey Creek.
It was then keeping on the dirt as much as possible to Wellington, Muswellbrook, Gloucester and back to Newcastle.
The money the Dashers raise is for special equipment for children with a disability and to support John Hunter Childrens Hospital.
One Dasher had his postie set up with a mail box.
Postman Pat was collecting letters and get well cards from students to give to children who are patients in John Hunter Childrens Hospital.
