“I was blown away,” Jackson said that Lithgow really got into Halloween and he was bringing a show to match it this year.
He has prepared specially with a Halloween themed set for his show.
It would not be a Michael Jackson show with out some supporting dancers which Jackson has four of on stage but is hoping thousands will join him in the record breaking Thriller dance off.
It is hard to find an official count for Australia so Lithgow and Jackson will have a big chance to claim the record in this country with the crowd expected tomorrow.
Jackson is no stranger to the record books having made it into the Guinness book of World records in 2010.
The record is of course Michael Jackson related.
Jackson took out the title for the longest and fastest moonwalk, the King of Pop’s signature dance move.
For thirty years Jackson has been living and breathing his idol with his show.
From the moment he first saw Michael Jackson at eight years old he was enthralled.
“I fell in love with his music and songwriting and wanted to be just like him.”
Jackson has come a long way from that Motown 25 show he watched Michael Jackson in.
He now keeps the musical legend alive through his performances.
Jackson has spent a lot of time perfecting the legend that is Michael Jackson.
He was the first Michael Jackson show in Australia and met the legend on his History tour of Australia in 1996.
While Michael Jackson died in 2009 his music lives on in with present day artists such as Usher and Justin Timberlake still showing the influence the King of Pop has had on them, Jackson said.
Jackson will perform two 30 minute shows with the world record attempt.
The shows will have something for all Michael Jackson fans including some of his older classics thrown in with some of his other big hits Jackson said.
