Residents and staff sat down to a wonderfully home-made collection of treats to raise awareness and money for women’s cancer.
Three Tree Lodge kitchen managers Narelle Croucher and Kathy Muldoon organised the inaugural event at the aged residence. Ms Muldoon’s involvement comes on the back on her own battle with breast cancer.
She had resumed work earlier in the year and told guests she was a survivor at the high tea. Ms Muldoon hopes that the event will continue on Pink Ribbon Day in the future at Three Tree Lodge.
Cancer Council’s Pink Ribbon Day helps raise funds in support of the many thousands of Australian women affected by breast and gynaecological cancers.
Cancer Council aims to minimise the threat of women's cancers through successful prevention, best treatment, support and world-class cancer research.
