Catholic Church Groups
Gorrie Ban ‘Caring for the aged and lonely’: Runs each Monday at 10am except during December, January and public holidays.
Held at Fatima Hall, GWH, Bowenfels. Call 6351 4056 or 6351 3092. Parishioners are welcome to join the day trips (ring Noela).
Social Justice Group: Second Thursday of month at 5pm. Portland Parish Centre located behind St Joseph’s School and St Vincent’s Church, Portland.
Everyone interested in social justice is encouraged to attend.
Home Rosary: Held every Tuesday evening at 7pm. Please contact the Presbytery for more information.
St Vincent De Paul Society: ‘Helping those in need’. Vinnies is always looking for new volunteers. Meetings held every second Monday at 11am at the centre.
Catholic Women’s League (CWL): Fourth Tuesday of the month, 3pm at Fatima Hall. (Fatima Hall is located at 1102 GWH, next to the BP Garage.)
During the winter months of June, July and August the meetings are held after the 12.30pm Mass in St Patrick’s Church on the fourth Tuesday.
Youth Group: Call Michelle Brien or Jeffrey Larsen at La Salle Academy for dates and times of events.
