The book, a Portland Tidy Towns project, will cover the years from 1901-1993 and includes research into the lives of those lost in the Cement Works.
The official launch of the book which is officially titled “Portland’s Past, Insight to those lost in the Cement Works” will be held at Portland’s Coronation Hotel on Sunday at 11am.
This is a great chance to have a look at the book which has been put together by Portland Tidy Towns and to have a glimpse at an important chapter in Portland’s history.
