The drawing was done by local artist and historian John Barnes.
The picture is a limited edition being number three of 20 printed.
Mr Barnes will the include the fire station drawing in his latest book “A Pictorial Evolution of Lithgow and the Surrounding District”.
Many would be familiar with Mr Barnes’ intricate drawings of Lithgow’s architecture with his last book “A Photograph and Art Sketchbook of Historic Lithgow and the Surrounding District” proving very popular with locals.
Mr Barnes has spent a lot of time on his books with research and drawing.
While reluctant to acknowledge the amount of time that goes into his drawings he did mention 50-odd hours of time spent on the fire station.
Another drawing of Abercrombie House, he said took 160 hours.
