The Vale Ladies Club will be celebrating their 75th birthday on Sunday October 2.
They have a long and proud history, and 2016 marks a landmark birthday for this hardworking group.
The Vale of Clwydd Ladies Club was formed in 1941 with a membership of 67.
The club did much valuable work in the interest of the patriotic movements and raised a considerable amount of funds.
The ladies did a grand job for the boys of the Vale during the war, and are now doing an excellent job in sending parcels of food to Britain.
Fundraising efforts of the group have continued, with countless people benefiting from the Vale Ladies’ renowned bingo nights.
Another popular initiative of the Vale Ladies is the annual Christmas in July party held in the Vale hall for residents of the area’s aged care homes.
The Vale Ladies Club will be celebrating their 75th birthday on Sunday, October 2, 2016, at 1pm in the Vale Hall.
Membership is now 30 and the group are still raising funds for charities in and around the Lithgow area, with $14, 000 raised in 2015.
