ACROSS the Lithgow region a number of dogs are unfortunately abandoned every week and wind up at the Lithgow City Council Animal Shelter, waiting for a home. Dogs can be inspected at the shelter from 3pm to 4pm weekdays or by arrangements via the council’s main office in Mort Street. Just call 6354 9999 to start the process of welcoming a new member to the family. All dogs are checked for health and temperament before release. Visit the Council’s new animal shelter page on its website to view available adoptions.
