The main character, played by David Hov (centre) is a myth-busting blogger set out to debunk the mysteries of the afterlife, but when he finds a way to die and come back to life, Hell quite literally breaks loose.
Demons, catastrophe and more descend on the world as Mr Hov’s character and his crew try frantically to figure out how to stop it.
They’ve been busy shooting for the past few months and were in Lithgow recently as production and final scenes wrap up.
Hov said it’s been a pleasure shooting around the Blue Mountains and Central West.
“Every time I come up here I think to myself it’s all a filmmaker’s dream.”
The film’s producer Yolandi Franken said much the same thing.
“It’s much easier to shoot here than in Sydney, people are a lot more open,” she said.
“I just think the small town feel is a bit spooky.”
Ms Franken said as a thanks for community support they have received, the crew were looking to have a private screening for Lithgow before the film gets a major release.
Tabernacle 101 is set to be finished within the year.
