A teenage boy has been arrested following a police chase in Lithgow’s Hillcrest Estate yesterday afternoon.

Police allege they attempted to stop a speeding Jeep Cherokee in Landa Street around 1:50pm yesterday, which slowed down but did not stop before driving away.
A Chifley Highway Patrol car spotted the vehicle on the Great Western Highway after and also attempted to stop the vehicle.
A pursuit commenced after the vehicle failed to stop.
The Cherokee drove into Hillcrest Estate where police attempted unsuccessfully to stop the vehicle using road spikes.
The driver then entered a dirt road before coming to a stop.
The driver was then placed under arrest.
Stolen items from a local business were also found in the car.
He has been charged with take and drive conveyance without owner’s consent, larceny, fail to stop from police pursuit, and being an unlicensed driver.
His bail was refused by local police.
He was scheduled to appear before Lithgow Local Court today.
Wallet stolen
A wallet was stolen from a property in Page Street, Bowenfels at around 1:45pm yesterday.
The wallet contained personal cards.
There are no signs of forced entry into the property where the wallet was taken from.
Police have no further information at this time.
