Mr O’Keeffe spoke about the ongoing collaboration between Lithgow High School and Palo Alto High School in California, in film making and Visual Arts projects and collegial exchange.
He also spoke about the significant history of film making and media at Lithgow High School,their award winning films and in particular "Bullets to Buttons" which was screening regularly on a loop of short films by high school students in Federation Square, the cultural centre of the Melbourne CBD.

Mr O’Keeffe presented a case study titled ‘Lithgow High School and Palo Alto High School Co-production’ which discussed what has happened for Lithgow High’s film making students after many years of successful classroom practice that has resulted a number of very successful films,
Screen Futures is an international conference and forum for industry professionals, educators and academics interested in the future of the screen in 2016. The summit program featured international guest speakers among an impressive program of local presenters drawn from all facets of the media, arts and education industries.
More than 600 Australian and international delegates attended the summit which included forums, a marketp ace, one-on-ones,screenings, discussions, satellite links, workshops and much more.
