It was grim, windy and wet but all local junior teams toughed it out in their games and should pat themselves on the back for persevering.
Storm
U7s:
Storm put in another good performance against a tough Portland side winning with 7 tries to Portland’s 5.
Jamie Falls had an amazing run with 4 tries, and Dustin Beckett propped up the team with great defence and a try.
Charlie Evans and Lincoln Hutchison also took home a try each for the team.
U8s:
Storm put on a mighty show with two games on Saturday.
The first against Portland was another proving ground for Kayleigh Baxter who always brings it 100 per cent whenever she gets on the field.
The highlight of that game was Tom “T-Bomb” Gordon’s first ever try.
He liked scoring a try so much he went back for another one soon after.
Game two was against Wang and Archie Morris darted through the opposition with some amazing runs and great tackling skill.
Storm would like to thank all their sponsors for the help they provide and giving them the support they need to keep getting out on the field.

Wallerawang
U9s:
Wang took on Storm Hurricanes in one of their toughest games this week.
Both sides showed amazing courage in what was one of the coldest days so far.
All players showed a great level of teamwork and encouragement towards each other.
U11s:
A trip to the Colour City of Orange for Wang unfortunately saw the weather come along for the ride.
Bloomfield got off to a strong start and really pushed the defensive line throughout.
Braith Green read the game well to score 2 tries.
Roman Peters continued with a good defensive game and Ben McCulkin ran the ball hard and defended well.
Wang Junior League teams would like to thank all their sponsors for helping them get out on the field to play and providing some much-needed support.
