THE wind was blowing a gale but Zig Zag stood firm on Saturday July 23, winning against Bathurst City with an easy 5-0 on the scoreboard.
There’s only one story to tell from Saturday’s game and it’s given away with the result.
Bathurst City didn’t have control of the ball for long and when they did they weren’t too sure what to do with it.
Goals were shared across five players from Zig Zag, with one a piece going to Taylor Tattersall, Daniel Sheppeard, Brandon Lloyd, Zach Sharp and Campbell Ferguson.
Something like that shows the secret to Zig Zag’s success: teamwork.

Zig Zag also played a catch-up game against Bathurst Souths at Lithgow on Sunday coming away with a draw 4-4.
With four players out coach Mark Sheppeard said it was a tough ask and Zig Zag were fighting an uphill battle in the first half but came right after the break.
In the last seconds of the game the score was equalised and Zig Zag headed back to the dugout with something to cheer about.

Women’s Premier League
It was the same score for both Zig Zag teams on Saturday, but unfortunately different results.
The score for men and women’s Zig Zag was the same this weekend but with different results, the girls sadly losing to Orange Ex-Services 5-0.
Ziggies couldn’t rally the same success they’ve had recently against Confederates and from the outset gave away a few balls.
Ex-Services made some mistakes early on as well but weren’t capitalised on by Zig Zag.
The Lithgow team got a talking to at half-time and were told to stop driving the ball up the guts of the field without anyone on the receiving end.
Despite new tactics Ex-Services were able to increase their 3-0 half-time lead by two goals without too much of a fuss.
Ex-Services managed to cut a swathe through Zig Zag to keep a grip on possession.
Tegan Walsh and Bree Rigby were given best and fairest nods.
