Despite no big show of support from any major party leader for Calare this election, votes from those who live in the area count just as much as any other and locals heading to the booths on election day should remind themselves of that.
Changes have been made to the Senate voting system and those who vote above the line on the Senate ballot paper must number six boxes from 1 to 6 in order of their voting preferences.
According to the AEC, instructions will be included on the Senate ballot paper advising voters how to record their vote on the ballot.
Calare has seven candidates running for the electorate this year, listed below in the order they'll appear on the ballot paper:
* DELANIE SKY for The Greens.
* ANDREW GEE for The Nationals.
* GLEN DAVIS for Liberal Democrats.
* BERNIE GESLING for Christian Democratic Party.
* ANTHONY CRAIG as an independent.
* RODNEY BLOOMFIELD for Nick Xenophon Team.
* JESS JENNINGS for Labor.
