SNOW is forecasted for the weekend and while we might rug up by the fire or strap on our boots to make snowballs, dogs at Lithgow Council Pound will have to wait out the whole weekend outside.

If you're feeling generous enough to give a dog a new home so they don't have to battle with potential snow this weekend, check out some of the dogs currently at the pound and think if one could be right for you.
Our first dog is a male kelpie cattle cross with a kind temperament and a lovely coat of fur. He's inquisitive and ready to be taken home.
Our second dog is a male bull terrier cattle dog cross looking for an energetic owner to let him roam free.
Our third dog is a male staffie cross who is new to the pound and is still classified as lost. If no one claims him within seven days he will become available to a new owner.
And our final dog is a female great dane cross with a spotty, grey coat who may tower in size but is a gentle giant at heart.
All dogs would make a great addition to any family.
Dogs can be inspected at the shelter from 3pm weekdays or by arrangements via the council’s main office in Mort Street.
Just call 6354 9999 to start the process of welcoming a new member to the family.
All dogs are checked for health and temperament before release.
