A GOOD entry of local Holden Scramble teams will take to the fairways on Sunday and once again Lithgow City Holden is the event’s major sponsor.
The club thanks Lithgow City Holden for their ongoing support of this major event.
It is one of the more popular events with ambroses giving golfers a rare chance to play team golf.
The other event over the weekend will be a stroke with the monthly medals held in conjunction with Ron Evans Painting the sponsor.
Last week a two person stableford was held and again the event attracted a good crowd.
The winners with a combined stableford score of 78 was the team of Jeff Geddes and Rod Bright with the runners-up being Ashton Arnott Webb and Brett Roach on 77 points.
A single stableford was held in conjunction with young Ashton Arnott Webb winning on a countback with his 41 points.
The best scratch scores on the day went to: A grade, Chris Neville (73); B grade Jeff Geddes 78 and C grade Ashton Arnott Webb 87.
Nearest the pin awards went to Mark Howell on the second (309cm), John Chadwick on the fourth (216cm), Brett Roach on the ninth (465cm), John Murnane on the 13th (246cm) and Darren Hunter on the 18th (151cm).
Balls in the ball competition went to Troy Luka, Paul Bosman, Dave Thompson, Brian Bourke, Steve Lewicki, Mark Howell, Shannon Johns, Ashton Arnott Webb, Max Nightingale, Ian Northey and Bob Charlton.
The Friday nine hole event last week went to Rob George with a score of 27 points on a countback.
Ball winners were Don Farnsworth, Chris Giugni and Jeff Geddes who all carded 27 points.
The Sunday nine hole event was won by Shane Clarke on 27 points.
A two person ambrose was held on the Anzac Day holiday with the winners being Greg Guest and Steve Lewicki with a score of 63 nett.
Ball winners were Geoff Wheeler, Paul Bailey and Mick Casey and Darryl Fuller.
Balls cut out on 65 nett.
