Each year schools are invited to recognise the important work their School Administrative and Support Staff (SASS)members do.
Whether working in the office, the library, the school grounds or in a classroom setting, the work the SASS performs is both challenging and vital to education.
A special poem written by teaching staff member, Deidre Cook, was read out at the morning tea which was well received by all who attended.
Janice runs the front office
And she knows a lot of stuff
She’s always there when you need her
Especially when times are tough
Leanne sits there beside her
And she’s an awesome, kind, old girl
Apart from her funny stories
She’s got those amazing curls
Then there’s Mrs Sewell,
the doctor who lives next door
If you’ve ever got an ailment,
Sewelly’s always got the cure
Donna and Jo, they share their job
They give that front room a buzz
And then we’ve got lovely Tammy
Who’s happy whatever she does
Quite apart from the staff in the office
There’s the other people that help us along
Matt, Vonnie, Chloe, Kerry, Narelle, and Margaret
I’d love to sing for you a song
But for the benefit of our Mr Tilley
I’ll give that treat a miss
Cause I know that it annoys him when I’m
way too loud and silly
If I’ve forgotten a name it’s because I’m getting old
It’s my one and only fault
But if you’ve ever helped any of us
I’m sure you’ve already been told
How much we appreciate each and every one of you
And all that you do in your roles
Thank you
