The students were put through a variety of different fires under the expert guidance of Frank Plackson at Lithgow’s Mine Rescue station’s excellent facilities.
The students learnt through practical experience as part of their Work Health and Safety Course how to control these fires using a variety of fire fighting equipment.
This opportunity was made available to the students thanks to the generosity of the Lithgow Mines Rescue Station manager Brian Kelly and the time and effort of training officer Frank Plackson who made this all possible.
