There was plenty to celebrate after the past couple of weeks which has been tough for the Giants with injuries and players unavailable with a number of big scores registered against them.
The Giants who were still without a number of their key players rallied together against the Barbarians and played some great attacking football to take the match.
The game was played on a rain sodden field, but the Giants played good wet weather football to completely dominate the match.
Their main aim was to control possession and if they could do that would put a lot of pressure on their opposition.
The Giants' defence was strong, driving the Barbarians backwards and gave them no peace all game getting good numbers into each tackle with their forwards getting over the top of the Barbarians.
Once again their spearhead in both attack and defence was Zac Jones who has been rock solid all year.
Others to stand out were Liam Bowers and Dan Wyer.
Try scorers were Sam McAndrew, Chris Boyd, Dan Wyer, Zac Jones, Sam McAndrew and Liam Bowers crossed for two.
Conversions were made by Cody Duncan (4) and Zac Jones (2).
Coach Brad Adams was happy with his side's performance saying: “It has been good the way the boys have stuck together after a couple of difficult weeks.
“We played some good footy today and if we can reproduce this effort and get some of our key players back, we will give some of the top sides a real headache.”
The Giants will take on CSU Blue on Saturday (August 1) at the Wallerawang Oval starting at 2.30pm.
