There was plenty of good talent on show around the Group 10 district at the weekend with the various Lithgow Storm sides putting in good displays.
Last week’s games produced some exciting affairs.

The Cyclones put in another good game from the boys.
The tries flowed with Dylan Grant and Jai Spittles continually on the end of great ball work from the two generals in Ben Achurch and Archie Morris.
Connor Thompson and Jayden Chalmers continue to improve from week to week and Kyan Wren made some good runs along with Michael Mjadwesch.
Thanks to Archie and Michael for filling in.
In another game the mighty Storm Hurricanes were up against Portland Colts and they were awesome.
Tries went to Brayden Rowe, Jai Zarka, Jamie Falls and try scoring machine Archie Morris who put a big smile on coach Karl Wilson’s face.
Michael Mjadwesch was solid and Junior had a tremendous game, and named as the man of the match.
A big thank you from the Canes goes to Dylan Grant and Benny Achurch who filled in for the missing players.

The Storm boys continued on their winning way.
Tully Howell and Alex Grant led the way with Dane Aylott improving week to week.
Ethan Achurch and Blake Fittler were strong in the ruck as was Angus Clues out wide.
Robert Edwards and Jai Morcom tackled everything that moved.
A big thanks to the under 8 boys for filling in.

The Kings Engineering Storm had a home game against Eglington and came away with a very good second half performance to win 26-16 with only 10 players.
Try scorers were Bryson Jones (two) and one each to Tulley Howell, Jye Rowe and Tallan Egan.
Goals were kicked by Brayden Spittles, Tallan Egan and Angus Clues.
This win keeps the boys in the top five.
Cody Green had his best game of the season running the ball strongly and defending well.
Thanks to the three under 9 players for filling in and putting in good performances in a higher age division.
Under 11
In trying conditions Storm were up against the Eglington Eels.
Cian O’Regan, Rylee Williams and Wade Fraser led the way in the forwards with some strong chargers while the two halves Jacky Whittaker and Eli Morris tackled like Trojans.
After an even first half the Eels went to the break leading 6-nil.
After losing Cody Grant early in the second half the boys were now down to 11 but they never gave up and Billy Rushworth scored after some lead up work from Nathan Ralph and Braith Green.
Just as the Stormers were getting on top the Eels scored against the run of play following a kick and led by 16-6.
With time running out the boys tried everything with some hot potato stuff from the Thommos, Kynan and Jordie, and Aston Kenniff but it was to no avail.
Eglington scored again as the siren went leaving the final score 22-6.
For the Storm rookie Rylee Williams, Jacky Whittaker and Eli Morris stood out, but all the boys never stopped trying.
Under 12
It was a disappointing loss for the Carpet One Storm side, going down to Bathurst St Pats at home 36-22.
Cooper Egan was in the for the first try which he converted.
Zane Harrington was over for the second and this was unsuccessfully converted bringing the half time score to 18-10.
Zac Irwin, Lyncon McDermott and Lachie Reilly made some good solid runs throughout the game.
Ryan Bennett, Ben Patszor and Owen Haddon were strong in defence.
Zac Irwin was over the line quickly in the second half which was successfully converted by Owen Haddon.
Zane Harrington was in for his second try of the day and this was converted by Tyler West.

The latest round saw the Henry Plant and Equipment Lithgow Storm team travel to Cowra to take on the top of the ladder Cowra team.
With only 13 players and a couple not quite 100 per cent it was always going to be a tough day at the office.
Cowra won the toss and found the line from the kick off to score in the corner in the first set.
Storm had a much better defensive line and slowed the ball down in the ruck but could not compete with the much bigger and skilful Cowra players.
Cowra scored six tries and converted three, Storm going into the break down 30-nil.
Kyle Sharp aggravated a neck injury and could not return.
Down to 12 players the Storm players never gave up.
Ball security was letting Storm down and with Cowra having about 70 per cent of possession they ran in seven second half tries, converting all of them.
Cowra showed why they are leading the competition.
The final score was 72-nil.
The under strength Storm team gave it their all, at times down to 11 players in the second half.
All the forwards dug in deep, making three times the tackles over hit ups, with half back Brock Egan topping the tackle count with Harrison Hopkins topping the hit ups.
New recruit Kane Beltran pulled off a couple of try saving tackles out on the wing.
Brandon Davis again took out player’s player with another good game.
