STUDENTS from the La Belle School of Dancing recently participated in the Gulgong Eisteddfod with some amazing results.
The under eight years jazz group danced twice in their section and not only did they win but they came second as well.
The adjudicator also announced that the Most Promising Eight years and under group of the eisteddfod went to La Belle School of Dancing.
This was a terrific achievement on the girls behalf as they had to compete against many other dance studios from all over the Central West to win this award.
The 12 years and under Hip Hop group came third and fourth in their section which was also a commendable effort as the youngest ones in the group were only eight years old.
Six year old Marni Thompson made her debut as a soloist and gained third place with her tap dance in the six years and under
Baby Dance section against 11 other competitors.
Seven year old Mia Healey performed wonderfully at the eisteddfod, gaining a first place in the eight years and under Restricted Jazz Section, a third place in the eight years and under Rest Tap and a fourth place in the Jazz Improvisation.
Mia then teamed up with Maddison Field and won the Duo Tap Section.
Mia went on to win the Most Promising Restricted eight year old of the eisteddfod as well as the title of the Most Promising Overall Dancer.
Maddison Field also did extremely well, gaining firsts in both the eight years and under Tap Dance Section and the eight years and under Jazz section, as well as a second place in the eight years and under Jazz Improvisation.
Maddison has since performed at the Cowra Eisteddfod with a win in the eight years Song and Dance Section, and second places in the eight years National Character Section, the eight years Jazz section, and the eight years Jazz improvisation section.
At the end of the eisteddfod Maddison was awarded the most promising eight-year-old ballet dancer of the eisteddfod, receiving the Gaigles Trophy for her efforts.
Leela Kus, not to be outdone, won the eight years and under Jazz Improvisation and was placed second in the eight years and under Jazz section.
Leela then went on to perform in the 12 years and under Song and Dance and was placed third.
Taliyah Collins, performing for her second time at an eisteddfod as a soloist, gained a commendable fourth place in the eight years Jazz Section.
Breeana Jenkins also did extremely well gaining two first places in the 12 years and under Straight Tap Section and the 12 years and under Slow Tap Section.
Breeana then gained a second place in the 12 years and under Fast Tap section and was placed fourth in the 12 years and under Jazz section.
Twelve-year-old Teoni Schleibs gained a first place in the 12 years and under Fast Tap Section and third in the 12 years and under Tap Improvisation Section.
Teoni then went on and won the 12 years and under Tap Championship.
As can be seen by the results, the students of La Belle School of Dancing are showing they have many talents.
They are not only doing their studio proud but also their town with their wonderful comradeship, not only between each other, but towards their fellow competitors.
