Mt Wilson is always spectacular and this day was no exception.
Morning tea was enjoyed in the park amid the colourful leaves.
Margaret Edwards was transported back to her youth and was seen gambolling through the leaves.
The beautiful garden Bebeah was first on the list, the members being greeted by the owner Barry, who has been maintaining the garden for 23 years.
This garden was made up of many sections and pathways leading to never ending scenery.
The colour of the trees was spectacular — from greens and yellows to orange and blood red.
Merry Garth, owned by Keith and Libby Raines, is surrounded by rain forests with every changing views across the Bowens Creek and Mounts Banks, Hays, Bell and Tomah.
Again the colours were outstanding and trees and shrubs abound.
A picnic lunch was held in the gardens where members also took advantage of the plants that were for sale.
The day after the Mt Wilson trip resulted in a working bee at Quota Park gardens.
Trish and her “boys” supplied 400 daffodil bulbs to be planted for a spring display.
Garden club members helped with weeding, planting, watering and mulching.
Council is thanked for its generosity in helping with this project.
The next meeting is on Monday May 4 at 2pm, the first of the afternoon meetings for winter.
