This is a result of significant inflows to the Coxs River system during the recent high rainfall in the area.
As a result of Lake Lyell spilling, water levels in Coxs River downstream of the lake have increased and will continue to rise over the coming days.
EnergyAustralia is advising people within close proximity to the River, including landholders and recreational users, to take appropriate safety precautions while water levels are rising.
Water levels in the Coxs River are expected to gradually subside once the rain eases and finer weather comes to the region.
