The regular players were pleased to welcome back Sylvia Blanchard and Marilyn Tully.
Teams were Debbie Williams and Sandy Cox, Rhonda Thompson and Marilyn Tully, Julie Grant and Margie Lowe, Kim Heath and Janene Graham and Sylvia Blanchard and Robyn Patterson.
There was a high standard of tennis on display, even in the occasionally gusty conditions.
The even results returned in some sets exemplified this, with multiple deuces being a feature of a number of games.
Marilyn Tully played very well, exhibiting a devastating serve and ultimately winning the day with 21 games.
Sylvia Blanchard played a superb game coming a very close second with 20 games.
There were any number of great rallies in which Blanchard featured.
Rhonda Thompson and Kim Heath followed hot on Blanchard’s heels, relentlessly running down balls from one side of the court to the other.
They tied for third place, winning a solid 19 games each.
There will be no competition this week to due to Easter, with play resuming in the first week of the new school term on Thursday April 23 at 9.20am sharp.
