LIDSDALE go into their second grand final in two years and will be hoping to go one better after going down to Lansdowne in the 2013-14 season.
They have been the dominant side all year having lost only one game all season and boasting a well balanced side.
Since losing the grand final, Lidsdale were strengthened with a couple of quality players who have done the job for them all year.
Captain Brendan Roach will open and will have the back up of Brett Nightingale, Phil Wright, Ryan Gurney, Darren Lambert, Thomas Thompson, Dallas Tilley and a number of others who can all rattle up big scores.
In the bowling department, Dallas Tilley, Roach, Lambert, Chris Redding and Josh Howarth are just a few they can call on.
On the other hand, if they are to win, La Salle Hornets will need their big gun Tod Walsh to fire.
Hornets have a number of players such as Dave Kay who scored 68 in the final, Todd Costello, Anthony Brown, Warren Stevens and Mark Dicker who will be called on to produce on the big day.
Anthony Brown, Mitch Reed, Aaron Manton will take the brunt of the bowling against what is a good Lidsdale batting line-up.
Grand finals are funny games, and anything can happen on the day — but the Stingers need to do everything right.
2nd Grade: Valley No 1 versus Lidsdale Lions
THIS looks to be one of the most evenly matched grand finals with nothing separating the two teams.
Lidsdale took the honours in the major semi beating Valley who finished the season as minor premiers.
Valley bounced back to score an emphatic win over Lithgow Hotel to get another crack at Lidsdale in the grand final and they are confident they can reverse the semi final result.
They have a good balance of youth and experience with Conor Roebuck, Nic Kenniff, Daniel Sheppeard and Ben Newham forming a lethal bowling attack.
They also boast a handy batting line-up with Sam Williams, who has been in good form all year, Daniel Sheppeard, Ben Cooper and Nic Kenniff all capable of scoring good totals.
Lidsdale are the family team with cousins and brothers making up the major part of the side.
They started the season off very slowly, but came home strongly and will take a lot of beating in the grand final.
Blake Bender has been in sensational form scoring a recent century and a couple of other big scores with good support coming from brother Harry Bender and cousin Steve Bender along with Mitch Redding and Trent Sutherland.
In the bowling department, Harry ‘H Bomb’ Bender, Mitch Redding, Sam Rushworth and Nathan Redding are all quality bowlers and a good match for the Valley batting line-up.
