YOUNG Lithgow under 14 state representative Hannah Kable is barely old enough to be eligible to play Premier League hockey (must be 14-years-old) but showed she is up to the standard with a very impressive debut when the Lithgow Workies Panthers defeated Orange Confederates 6-2.

Although nervous, when called upon by coach Ron Charlton she never missed a beat and played like a real veteran, loving every minute of her time on the turf.
Playing at half, Hannah gave her opposite number no peace at all, made some great tackles and fed her forwards with some great through balls.
Some youngsters find it hard to come into an older side and let the game pass them by, but Hannah looked right at home and showed a high level of skill and knowledge of the game.
Reigning premiers Panthers look to have a long and bright future ahead of them as they boast a number of girls in Year 10, some in Year 11 and 12.
Hannah is the daughter of Michael and Katrina Kable of Lithgow, has already represented her state and has an Australian gold medal to her name.
The local Premier League derby between Ziggies and the Panthers is on again today starting at 1.30pm.
