PORTLAND Junior Rugby League held their muster day with the help of Mick Armstrong of the Country Rugby League, the players kept busy with lots of ball and tackling drills.

The boys and girls had great fun with the day finishing off with a tasty barbecue.
It was great to see a lot of boys and girls returning and new players at the muster day.
The Portland Club will be fielding three teams for the 2015 season — under 7, 8 and 9, one more team then last year which is great to see that the support and growth for Portland juniors is getting bigger.
The club boasts some extremely talented youngsters who have big futures.
One such player is Jemia Cadalt who received the rookie of the year award last year and she is keen to follow up this honour with another big year in 2015.
If anyone would like to join one of the teams its not to late.
Training will Start for the under 8s and 9s tomorrow at Kremer Park starting at 4pm and on Friday March 6 for the under 7s starting at 4pm.
Registrations fees are only $60 and a discount for more then one child, which includes jumper, shorts and socks.

The club will also be holding their annual general meeting on Sunday March 8 at 10.30am at the Portland RSL Club and everyone welcome and encouraged to come along.
