Proudly hosted by the Portland District Motor Sports Club the race meeting will erupt this Saturday from 4pm right through almost non-stop under the ribbon of light until around 10pm.
All is now set for the third race meeting of the 2014-15 speedway season at the Kings Auto Parts Cullen Bullen Raceway.
Top billing goes to the Newcastle Street Stockers who are making the long trek from the coast, contesting their super competitive series second round.
There’s a fabulous field of two stroke Rotax 125cc engined Quarter Midgets contesting the third round of their NSW Series including Portland’s very own Rob Stephenson.
The tiny little go karts are also back in four racing categories, standard, modified, outlaws plus the shifters to round out the open wheeler category.
Also hot to trot are all of your local stars in their tin top stock cars contesting the yearly pointscore over four heats and possibly five — the series production, the hot RSA Street Stockers direct from Sydney Speedway, the fabulous Four Cylinder sedans, the return of the Second Drivers and the talented juniors all racing for major season points.
Get set for almost six hours of non stop speedway excitement at “the Action Attraction of the Central West” with around 50 events for the tin top stock cars and the very fast open wheelers on the Kings Auto Parts Cullen Bullen Raceway.
The raceway is looking superb so it’s definitely time to get your backside trackside and enjoy country speedway the way it used to be and should be.
Driving stars from Sydney, Newcastle, the Blue Mountains, Mudgee, Bathurst, Blayney, Oberon, Orange, Canberra and Nowra will battle it out wheel to wheel on the fully resurfaced oval track and you won’t miss one second of the action.
Come out and cheer your favourite drivers to the chequered flag.
