It has been a very competitive competition to date, with the two big guns being reigning premiers Lizards and Isotopes, but as was witnessed in the last round Cougars and Raptors have the players to upset them.
The first game was between the Isotopes versus Cougars with Isotopes sneaking home by the one run 6-5.
Best for the Isotopes were Mitch Brain, Rod Phelan, Derryn Cluff and Michael Anderson.
Cougars were best served by Graham Bray, Jack Rainsford, Jackson Bostock and Josh Denley.
This was a high quality match with some of the younger players showing they can match it with the more experienced players.
The second game was also very close with Lizards continuing on their winning way — but only just as they scraped home by one run to record a 11-10 win over the Raptors.
Best for the Lizards were Juzen Takahira, Adam Thompson, Arron Bailey and Pete Lewis.
Raptors’ best were Luke Smith, Brad Pender, Joe O’Brien and Tim Reeve.
The association would like to thank the Wang Bowling Club for its ongoing sponsorship and also thanks scorers Kath Rainsford, Donna Bray and Chris Neaves for the great job they do each and every Sunday.
It all starts again tomorrow at the Wallerawang diamond with Raptors taking on Cougars at 11am followed by the big game at 1.30pm between Isotopes and Lizards.
