The new vehicle was handed over at the headquarters of Central West Region located in Bathurst.
In total there were five brand new response vehicles made available which will replace existing vehicles across the Bathurst electorate.
“The value of these units is around $56,000 however it goes further than just a monetary figure,” Mr Toole said.
“These vehicles are ‘state of the art’ and will ensure that local volunteers from the NSW SES volunteers responding to emergency incidents and do so in modern safe vehicles.
“This is the appropriate standard of equipment that is required particularly in light of the fact that previously some vehicles were delivered in 1989.
“It is great to see that the local SES volunteers and unit, who do an incredible job and provide invaluable assistance to communities during emergencies in our community and right across our region, are now better prepared to respond to emergency situations.
“This new vehicle shows that the NSW Government and the NSW SES are committed to providing the best equipment available to local units.”
