Following a very successful trial of the Home Library Service in Portland and Wallerawang for over twelve months, the service is being expanded to include Lithgow.
Home Library Service customers will have access to the Library’s many and varied resources including fiction, non-fiction, large print books, audio books, magazine and periodicals, CDs, and DVDs.
Lithgow City Council Mayor Maree Statham said that “The Home Library Service is another example of Council’s dedication to the provision of excellent services to all of its customers.
I congratulate Library staff on the success of this service which means that Lithgow residents with limited mobility will now be able to utilize this special service”.
To celebrate the expansion of the Home Library Service and also to give recipients of the service a chance to visit the Library in person, Lithgow Library Learning Centre will be holding a special morning tea for patrons, relatives and care givers of the service with Lithgow City Council Mayor Maree Statham on Monday the September 15, at 11.30am.
