Tall Timbers also continue their roll with a win over a spirited Red Sox who only lost by 19 points.
The surprise of the night was the way Helmets made their opponents Outlaws look ordinary in a huge win for them.
Hunter Mining Methods Miscues v Lithgow Free Range Meats Pockets: Kevin Slaven played Trystan Ford and this was a game of the battlers.
Slaven had to catch a 14 point lead to get anywhere near Ford who has been playing pretty well this series.
Slaven did actually catch the difference and did enough to keep ahead to beat Ford in a good game 48-40.
Allan Piggott played Justin McKinnon in a very close finish.
At the moment Piggott is undefeated and this game stretched him to the limit as McKinnon tried hard to bring his run to an end.
Piggott had to play at his very best as McKinnon took Piggott to the very end only to see Piggott win 62-61 and remain undefeated.
Ritchie Bilby played Jeff Holt in another fairly close result that could have gone either way.
The game was punctuated with both good and bad shots but it was entertaining to watch.
Both players went for the big shots on occasion but in the end it was Holt who played the steadier to win 45-33.
Robert Farnsworth played Michael Wellings, Farnsworth playing really well, though he had a last start loss by only a point, and nothing he did was wrong.
Wellings has been playing well but not to his best and this game saw both turn around their form.
Wellings played his best game this comp and Farnsworth, though playing solidly, was not up to this as Wellings won 54-38.
Miscues captain Brian Nightingale played Brad Preston who so far this year has been playing with all heart but Nightingale has started solidly as well.
Preston again put his opponent under the pump as he played with passion and Nightingale, who tried his hardest, came up short 44-37 leaving Preston undefeated.
Dennis Goodwin played Trent Warren, Goodwin having to win by 33 for Miscues to take the points.
This was a good game and Goodwin outplayed Warren but Warren did enough to keep the difference under the 33 points.
Goodwin had a good win and beat Warren 54-38.
Pockets won 4-3. Best players were Michael Wellings and Dennis Goodwin.
Carpet One Tall Timbers v C and W Printing Red Sox: Brett Thorpe played John Lyons, both players starting out well going shot for shot but mid-way through the game Lyons took control.
Thorpe was falling off his shots and with the last four colours left he was still a chance.
Thorpe missed some easy shots on the colours to see Lyons take the win 79-47.
Joe Steffen played Leigh best in a very high quality game.
Best had a flying start not missing many of his shots and Steffen was missing some early easy ones.
Both had two very important breaks with Steffen a 31 and Best a 17.
With only two colours left Steffen needed both colours and two snookers and being the calculating player he is tied the game up.
This meant the black had to be re-spotted and once this was done Steffen sank the black to win 76-69 in a come from behind affair.
Maurie Smith played Red Sox captain Tom Gaynor, both trying to regain some form as they have had terrible starts.
Smith was coming off a 64 point flogging and Gaynor was easily beaten his last game.
Smith did learn something from his last game as he was sinking some good shots but most of the Gaynor had were set up from his missed shots.
Smith took complete advantage as he powered ahead 71-37 with an easy win.
Leon Rust played Garry Nolan, Rust again dancing his way around the table like Fred Astaire wowed his fans years ago.
Nolan is in a rut as he showed no resistance to Rust who was doing it easy.
Rust scored a 14 break and the scoreline could have been larger if he did not keep snookering himself on his shots. Rust won 62-44.
Mitch McCosker played Trevor Cameron with the game swinging both ways and coming down to a double black ball.
Cameron started out well early potting some good balls when McCosker realised he had to start playing.
He went that well to come home strongly he tied up the game only to see Cameron sink the black to win 52-45.
Nick Bender played Jeff Stait in another grandstand finish.
Stait played well but Bender was really putting it up to Stait.
Bender has talent to burn and with a bit of tutoring will become a force to reckon with.
Stait’s experience won out in the end with gripping 61-60 win.
Timbers won 4-3 and the best players were Nick Bender and Leigh Best.
Exceltech Industrial Electronics Outlaws v Lithgow Valley Storage Helmets: Michael Andrews played Dallas Thurlow and the end result was that Thurlow kept his handicap lead until the end.
Both played well with both Thurlow and Andrews playing their shots.
Thurlow did enough to win 66-46.
Pater Warner played Tom Drury in a good match up as both have only lost one game so far.
Warner has been grinding out his wins and Drury has been playing a free flowing game.
Drury proved to be the better player to win 72-59.
Cec Thompson played Paul Hewitt, both players struggling with Hewitt not winning a game and Thompson with just one win.
Hewitt finally pulled himself out of a rut by playing some very good shots.
Hewitt played Thompson off the table in the end for a much deserved 75-48 win.
Justin Nelson played Mal Hewitt in a high scoring affair that saw Hewitt with a 24 start which was eliminated with one 29 break from Nelson.
Nelson had another break of 25 which helped him pull ahead.
Hewitt played well but Nelson played better as he came home to win 77-68.
Michael Tonkin played the veteran Ian Miles in an outstanding game as Miles won this but not before Tonkin did his best.
Miles proved too good in a high quality game 74-63.
Both captains played each other with Terry Christian up against Sandra Chadwick.
Christian did very well kept concentration and won easily 92-58.
Helmets won 5-2 and the best players were Ian Miles and Justin Nelson.
Pointscore: Pockets 20, Tall Timbers 17, Helmets 15, Outlaws and Miscues 15, Red Sox 13 and Jiggers 9.
