WORKMENS Club looks like being the 'fly in the ointment' for those sides trying to gain a spot in the semi finals with CYMS' hope of getting a top three finish seriously dented when the Wolves' out muscled them in a 38-12 upset victory at Lithgow.

A minutes silence was observed before the match in respect of former Workies' player and president Brian Whichelo who passed away suddenly earlier in the week.
Going into the game, there was a lot of head scratching for coach Graeme Osborne for the final make up his team due to players unavailable at the last minute.
In the end, Osborne was forced to start boom Under 18 player Wayde Egan as halfback and put tough young forward Darcy Allan on the bench after both had starred earlier in the Under 18's big win.
It was a different looking Wolves' side with their big forwards Brad and Luke Morris, Corey Willmott, Chris Rhodes and Steve Lang battering the CYMS' pack into submission in both in attack and defence.
CYMS' coach Michael Sullivan said: “They started strongly and we couldn't go with them.
“Their forwards got on top allowing their halves and hooker a lot of freedom and they had a field day.
“Like them we were a bit short handed and hopefully we can get a couple of players back, we certainly need a win badly.”
CYMS start well and dominated the opening period with Sullivan producing his bag of tricks with some deft kicking that had the Wolves back peddling.
The Wolves were hitting hard in defence and after absorbing the early attack, it was the Wolves that opening the scoring with a try that saw Keelan Bresac handle the ball three time as the ball was sent from side to side before Bresac took the final pass to score a brilliant try.
Jamie Clark converted to lead 6-0 after 15 minutes.
A couple of minutes later, the Wolves added to their tally when Brad Morris took the ball up hard and following a superb pass by Ben Stewart to a hard running Steve Lang, the second rower scored next to the posts.
The conversion was unsuccessful and the Wolves led 10-0 after 17 minutes.
It was all the Wolves with their big forwards carving big metres up field. On the back of some strong charges, Stewart put a chip kick over the defence which he regathered and sent a long pass out to Brent Brogan who went in for the first of his three tries.
Four minutes from the halftime break, hooker Jamie Clark caught the CYMS' defence napping when he dummied one way and then sent it back the other way for big Chris Rhodes to crash over.
Wayde Egan converted to give his side a 22-0 lead.
CYMS' looked like they had stopped early for the break, but the Wolves had one more try left in them and as the hooter sounded, Stewart sent a long cut out pass to a rampaging Corey Willmott to crash over for a top try.
Egan converted and the Wolves went into the break leading 28-0.
On resumption, it was only five minutes old when Jamie Clark again caught the defence out with a switch of play with the forwards filling in and shuffling the ball out to Brogan to score in the corner to push their lead out to 32-0.
It took until the 50 minute before CYMS posted their first points with fullback Alister Beale scoring and with the Ben McAlpine conversion trailed 32-0.
The only attack that CYMS look to have was Sullivan's kicking game and finally one of his kicks paid off when McAlpine regathered an over head kick to score and following his own conversion cut the Wolves lead back to 32-12.
The Wolves had the last say when Corey Willmott made a good break down the sideline and when the defence converged put a grubber kick in with the ball rebounding off a CYMS' foot and into the hands of Brent Brogan who outpaced the defence to score and with the Egan conversion made the final scoreline 38-12.
It was a good team performance by the Wolves with the forwards totally outclassing the CYMS pack, with Jamie Clark, Ben Stewart, Wayde Egan, Keelan Bresac and Brent Brogan outstanding.
It was a happy coach Osborne who said: “It was our best performance.
“It was a bits and pieces side, but they all came together to work hard and if we play like that in our final matches will be a headache for those looking to make the play-offs.
“I was happy with Wayde's effort.
“He had a solid game, especially after playing 80 minutes earlier in the day and also Darcy who showed his toughness when I put him on late in the game.
“Our forwards played tough today and laid the platform for the win.”
Best in a disappointing CYMS' side were Michael Sullivan and centre Tim Bassman and Dez Knight tried hard in a beaten pack.
