FAMILY and friends are desperately searching for information on a missing Kiama teen's whereabouts after he disappeared on Thursday night.

Scott Carrigan, 19, had mentioned to friends that he was considering Lithgow as a possible area to work, and his family are asking the local community to report any possible sightings.
According to the Help Us Find Scott Carrigan Facebook page, he was last seen in Wollongong about 9pm before he later posted a ‘‘sad status’’ to his own Facebook page from the Albion Park area at 11pm.
His phone has been off since.
Scott owns a 2006 black Holden VZ Calais, registration plate AK7 5CO with green P plates, white wall tyres and venetian blinds in the rear window.
The car is pictured with door stickers in several photos posted on social media, but the stickers had been removed prior to Scott’s disappearance.
A Facebook site set up to help find a missing Kiama teen has attracted more than 8000 likes since Friday.
The page urges people to double-check the registration if they think they see the car following several reported ‘‘sightings’’ involving one of Scott’s mates, who has a similar car.
Friends and family have taken to social media to spread the word using the hashtag #findscottsafe.
