In their last round, the Wang Warriors got the cash, but the Bears will be looking for revenge.
Coach Brett Ranse said: “We were still working out our halves pairing in the first meeting and hopefully we have come along way since then.”
In their last match, the Bears continued their winning steak with another huge win over Orange Barbarians.
It was a try avalanche that ended in a 65-16 victory for the Bears.
The Barbarians could not match the power up front of forwards Wes McKinno who was virtually unstoppable, James Reinhardt, Boe Biles, Nick Inzitari, James Perry and Tony Northey.
Once the big men got on top the Bears' speedy backs did the rest with five eighth Chad Newton providing good ball for Jake Gillespie, Steve Hughes and Harley Osland who has been a real revelation since joining the Bears with his powerful running and no nonsense defence.
It has been a real 'Bears' Picnic' who have scored 139 points over their past two games.
Try scorers were Jim Hughes (3), Harley Osland (2), Chris Newsome (2), Wes McKinnon (2) and Jake Gillespie and Nick Inzitari one each.
Coach Brett Ranse said: “We are not getting carried away with the wins.
“We have to perform against the better sides in the competition.
“I am pleased with the teamwork and effort that has been put in by the boys.
“We still have a lot of things to work on if we are going to be a threat in the playoffs.”
The Bears would like to thank all their sponsors, especially their major sponsor – Ray and Joy Smith of the Court House Hotel.
