IT’S Children’s Book Week and youngsters in classrooms around the Lithgow district (and around NSW) are adding life to the joys of reading by dressing up as favorite book characters.
Parents and students have been putting in the hard yards preparing imaginative costumes — some elaborate, others simple but effective.
Into the latter category came young Daniel Rose who stood out in the crowd at the Wallerawang School Book Week parade by dressing up as ‘The Cat In The Hat’ from the popular Dr Seuss series of books.
Photographs from the parade will appear in Saturday’s edition.
