THE region experienced one of the more heavier snowfalls for the season last Saturday and you didn’t have to drive far out of town to get into the spirit of winter.
From Mount Lambie through to the other side of Yetholme, along with Sunny Corner and Garland’s Hill at Portland the road side was scattered by those enjoying a snow fight or experiencing snow for the first time.
For most locals it was business as usual, sporting commitments and Saturday morning shopping, however tourist from Orange, Bathurst, Penrith and Castle Hill took the opportunity to stop for a romp through what could be the laast snow for the season.
