EIGHT Lithgow La Salle students qualified for the NSW Combined Catholic Colleges (NSWCCC) Athletics Championships to be held in Sydney on Friday, September 4 following outstanding displays at the Bathurst Diocesan Athletics Carnival.
La Salle took a strong squad which included Madeline Griffiths, Bradley Kay, Dylan Bignell, Jason McHugh, Lauren Corney, Shayley McMillan, Jordan Fordham, Trey Smith, Riley Livermore, Dalton Neville, Alison Kay, Leah Stubbs, jade Beavis, Alanna Tomazin, Bradley Ford, Mitchell Redding, Jordan Bignell, Jordan Inzitari, Sonia Marquet, Rylan Groves, Nick Briggs, Jarrod Bennett, Tom Stapleton, Curtis Young, Liam Phillips, Inder Singh and Liam Daley.
Out of that squad those to qualify were (class year in brackets):
Madeline Griffiths (7) shot put; Jason McHugh (7) 100m and 200m; Bradley Ford (8) 400m; Sonia Marquet (9) sprints; Thomas Stapleton (10) 1500m; Liam Daley (12) discus; Liam Phillips (12) 100m and Inder Singh (12) shot put.
