All round sportsman Wayde Egan will be going for the trifecta having won the open in 2012 and 2013.
He will have plenty of competition from the likes of Harry Bender, Caleb Hanrahan and a host of good young visitors from surrounding cities.
There will be scratch, handicap and cadets (nine holes) with the open being sponsored by the Blue Mountains Golf Association. Club captain Max Nightingale said: "The battle for the scratch open title is shaping up as a beauty.
"Lithgow has a couple of very good young players who are among the club's low markers.
"There is always good competition between them and they will be going all out to gain bragging rights.
"The handicap section should also be interesting with some up and coming golfers looking to take the title."
